Tittle Screen
Game Concept UI
Music from OME called "Journey to Mictlan - The Underworld"
About the project
My goal was to create a home screen (tittle screen) for a fictional video game based on ancient Mexican culture. It had to be as complete as possible, from aesthetics, animation, to audio.
Challenges & Goals
The screen has to be animated, it could not be static
The screen must be consistent throughout its design
The screen must have audio related to aesthetics.
Tools Used

Inspiration
"...reaching the highest part in Templo Mayor, they were taken by the priests, who placed them on the sacrificial stone to extract their hearts, which they offered to Huitzilopochtli. The bodies of the prisoners were thrown down the stairs, and their captors would pick them up and eat them as part of the ritual."

Main Image
The base background image was generated by AI and I needed to intervene it in order to make it functional, adding plants to the front, dust particles or removing elements in the background.
I had to separate the image into several layers
I adde certain elements like dust particles or plants to the front
Details like the dust particles and the logo were created from sracth

After "Press any Key"
Part of the project was to design the next screen after "press any key". Unfortunately I didn't have time to add this part to the final project, here's the wireframe of what it should look like.

Outcomes
It is a project that has a lot of potential and I'm about to go back to it in order to create the appropriate components once you "press any key", for now this project helped me to:
I practiced working on separating visual elements from a static image
I practiced making an animation with a parallax effect
The search for the right audio was successful
